Society has created this lightheartedness around abortion, so much so that they have somehow managed to make the gruesome destruction of a human being into a joke.

The first time someone disclosed to me that they were facing an unplanned pregnancy and considering having an abortion was a girl that I had never met but was in the same Facebook group as me. She remembered me from another post and reached out to share that she had just found out she was pregnant. I remember that the first thing I told her was, “congrats” and she broke down in tears. Every single person in her life told her she needed to get an abortion and that this pregnancy was a horrible thing. She wasn’t married and was in a rocky relationship with the father, but she had always wanted to be a mom. She hadn’t let herself feel the joy of being a mom because of the judgment of others. I let her know that although it may not be easy, you are already a mom, and there are so many people who want to help you. I connected her with the local pregnancy resource center, and she was amazed that there was a whole community there for her, even when her family and friends weren’t. To this day, she still tells me how much it meant to her to just hear the words “congrats.” She was scared and alone, and when everyone else was telling her she couldn’t do this, she just needed that one person who let her be excited and affirmed that she could do this and that she would never be alone.

Iceland claims it has eliminated Down Syndrome in their country when in reality they have just began killing every unborn child with the prenatal diagnosis of Down Syndrome.

This is just another way that abortion is used to discriminate against a group of human beings. Children and all humans with Down Syndrome are worthy of life and SO important to our society.

By seeing these premature babies who are the same age as children still in the womb who are killed by abortion, we pray that it will help people see the humanity of unborn children.

These kids are not simply a ball of tissue or a clump of cells. They are living human children and deserve to be protected from violence.

It’s heartbreaking and tragic that there are women who celebrate their abortions. I see social media posts of women having abortion parties and celebrating not being pregnant anymore. Their vulnerable and helpless baby was just intentionally killed, and they are celebrating this with a party.

Society is now teaching young girls that they can’t be successful or happy if they have children, and these celebrations are only further proof of this. I can’t even imagine the trauma and suffering these women may later experience when they truly realize that they not only took the life of their child but celebrated his or her death. When they do, we will be here to help.

That phrase pits truth and love against each other. It assumes that to be truthful about abortion, we can't be very loving. And to show love, we have to obscure the truth.

I like to take a different approach. Every conversation you have with a pro-choice person about abortion should be overflowing with truth AND love.

What does that sound like in a conversation? Saying something like this: "We should do everything we possibly can to help a woman facing an unplanned pregnancy. If she's seeking an abortion, she probably feels desperate and alone. We should do literally anything we can to help her, but the one solution that we can never support is abortion because violence is never an acceptable solution to a broken situation."
