TREVOR POLO
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of Protect Life Michigan.
Joining this incredible organization is not just a career move—it is a deeply personal mission. I have long been convicted that we must end the violence of abortion in our society. What drew me to Protect Life Michigan was not only that conviction but also the passion and dedication of the team here and the remarkable community of supporters like you. Together, I truly believe we have the right people, strategy, and motivation to make abortion unthinkable in our lifetime. That conviction is why I joined Protect Life Michigan, and it’s why I am so excited to lead us into this next chapter.
My journey to this point has been shaped by a diverse range of professional experiences. I hold a degree in Political Science and Pre-Law from Michigan State University and a Master's in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, with additional graduate studies in theology, data engineering, and machine learning.
Professionally, I’ve been privileged to work in a variety of settings—from leading teams of 15 to 150 employees as a Senior Manager at Jackson National Life, a Fortune 500 company in Lansing, to building big data solutions and cloud infrastructure as a Senior Data Engineer at a Chicago fintech startup. I also served as a Lead Engineer at Ballotpedia, where I supported the data backbone of America’s largest nonprofit political encyclopedia. These experiences have equipped me with skills that I am eager to bring to Protect Life Michigan as we continue to innovate and expand our mission.
While my professional background has shaped me, my heart has always been in the pro-life movement. Over the years, I’ve dedicated countless hours to advancing the pro-life cause, both here in Michigan and across the country. Some of my most meaningful experiences include speaking on over 50 college campuses as part of the “Stump the Pro-Lifer” tour, engaging in compassionate and persuasive dialogue with students and faculty. I’ve also developed apologetics training programs that have reached thousands of students, young adults, and community members, empowering them to articulate the pro-life message with clarity and confidence.
My work with Protect Life Michigan has also included behind-the-scenes efforts. I developed the software that tracks our organization’s missional impact, outreach efforts, and student group activities. In 2022, I helped deploy and manage our data-driven Proposal 3 door-knocking campaign, which resulted in hundreds of thousands of voter contacts and countless persuasive conversations. Additionally, I collaborated on national pro-life coalitions to advance strategies that are now being deployed beyond Michigan. One of my proudest accomplishments has been contributing to the development of our “Operation Zero” framework, a bold initiative to eliminate public support for abortion in our lifetime.
What inspires me most is knowing that none of this work is done alone. The pro-life movement is a team effort, and I am honored to serve alongside you—our faithful donors, advocates, and supporters. Together, we are creating a culture that values every human life, from conception to natural death.
